Project - Timber Framed Cottage

This house was acquired in apparently good condition.  However, it soon became clear the timber frame was in poor condition.  Grade II listed, because of its historically significant timber framing, the building also contributes to the character of the Bowdon Conservation Area.

 

Extensive repairs have been required to floors, windows, frames and stairs to return the property to good condition, along with layout changes and a small extension to create a modern comfortable family home.

 

Our role: To provide advice and support, to obtain consents and inform decisions about this important and well-loved building.  We were especially delighted to be well-received by Bowdon Conservation Society.
